Mumbai : The prestigious 9th NIFF Dadasaheb Phalke Golden Camera Awards 2017(Dadasaheb Phalke Janmabhumi Puraskar) was successfully held on 22nd July 2017 at Iskcon Auditorium, Juhu Mumbai. The award show was organized by Metro Foundation of India and Kalavaibhav Sanstha in association with Reva Media& Entertainment Company & Cannerry Media Works Pvt. Ltd.& Supported BY Department Of Cultural Affairs , Govt. of Maharashtra.
NIFF initiative started by Mukesh Kaneri in 2008 to restore the Vision of Dadasaheb Phalke –The father of Indian Cinema is now popular as 'The Heritage Film Festival of India'. NIFF fest is proved to be instrumental in enhancing Independent Filmmakers movement, Promoting film locations, film tourism, international joint venture, co-production & young talents worldwide. NIFF is associated with more than 33 countries & many filmmakers worldwide. 9th NIFF Festival was successfully held from 23rd to 26th March 2017 at Nashik. The Prestigious 9th NIFF Dadasaheb Phalke Golden Camera Awards 2017 was held in great excitement and grand entertaining program along with participations of filmmakers from various regions of India and abroad.
The awards were distributed by the hands of Prabhawati Kaneri– Chairman, Metro Foundation of India, Hon. Shri Pilot Baba, NIFF Patron Hon. Babanrao Gholap, Mukesh Kaneri – President NIFF Fest, legendry actress 'NIMMI', Laxman Sawaji, Ravi Bartakke and other dignities.
The Awards were given in various categories focusing on promotions and recognition of independent film makers across the globe. Award categories International Cinema, Indian Regional Cinema, Short Film & Documentaries, Marathi Films & Television, and NIFFMusic & NIFF Sanmann NIFF SANMANN 2017.

The initiative was supported by his Grandson Chandrashekhar Pusalkar (Phalke Family) and he declared to give all his support & involvement in this initiative of Mukesh Kaneri.
